Glad that joss Whedon is around to support strong women in cinema, but this meme brings a follow up question to mind: Why is it still mostly men writing for women in the 21st Century?
Many say with greater diversity among screenwriters, we’d have a greater diversity in stories. Why aren’t there more prominent female screenwriters in the film industry writing authentic stories about women?
Having guys like Joss is cool, but it’s definitely not enough. Shout out to all the female filmmakers who are making moves out there - gotta keep pushing!
